English clubs suffer heartbreak in UEFA Cup

Tottenham Hotspurs and Everton suffered losses in the UEFA Cup after bringing the game into extra time then into the dreaded penalty-shootout. The Spurs lost the first-leg to PSV Eindhoven 0-1 but drew level in the second-leg after a Dimitar Berbatov to bring the game into extra time. Tottenham and PSV did not manage to score in extar time so the game went into the penalty shootout which they lost narrowly 6-5. Everton also drew level from their first-leg 0-2 loss. they scored with goals from Andy Johnson and Mikel Arteta. the game went into the penalty-shootout which Everton lost 4-2. Now, the only English team left in the UEFA Cup is Bolton Wanderers. In Paris, France ended their participation in the UEFA Cup after Marseille lost to Zenit Saint Petersburg 0-2.
