Man U beats Liverpool

Manchester United beat Liverpool after Javier Manschero got sent off. Manchester United won by three goals with Wes Brown , Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani scoring. It was a bad loss for Liverpool as they are almost effectively out of the title race.

Raikonen wins Malaysian Grand Prix

Kimi Raikonen won the Malaysian Grand Prix today. Ferrari could have gotten a one-two finish if Felipe Massa had not crashed out. Lewis Hamilton finished fifth.

Lewis Hamilton wins Australian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton won the Australian Grand Prix while the two Ferrari drivers, world champion Kimi Raikonen and Felipe Massa crashed out of the race. Only seven of the 22 drivers to start the race finished.

United go 3 points ahead

Manchester United went three points ahead at the top of the English Premier League after winning their game in hand against Bolton Wanderers 2-0. Cristiano Ronaldo scored both goals. Bolton are one of the only teams to beat Manchester United this season.

Manchestre United went to hte top of the English Premier League after they won 1-0 at Derby County and Arsenal drew with Middlesbrough at the Emirates Stadium

Champions League quarter-finals matches

Manchester United are going to face AS Roma again, the team that they thrashed 7-1 in the quarter-finals. Arsenal and Liverpool will face each other while Chelsea will be facing Fernabache. Barcelona and Scahalke04 will face each other for a place in the semi-finals.

Bolton out of UEFA Cup

Bolton, the only English team left in the UEFA Cup, went out after losing to Sporting Lisbon 0-1 after drawing the first leg 1-1 and losing 1-2 on aggregate. Now, the only British club left in the UEFA Cup is the Scottish team Rangers. They went through to the quarter-finals after winning 2-1 on aggregate.

English clubs suffer heartbreak in UEFA Cup

Tottenham Hotspurs and Everton suffered losses in the UEFA Cup after bringing the game into extra time then into the dreaded penalty-shootout. The Spurs lost the first-leg to PSV Eindhoven 0-1 but drew level in the second-leg after a Dimitar Berbatov to bring the game into extra time. Tottenham and PSV did not manage to score in extar time so the game went into the penalty shootout which they lost narrowly 6-5. Everton also drew level from their first-leg 0-2 loss. they scored with goals from Andy Johnson and Mikel Arteta. the game went into the penalty-shootout which Everton lost 4-2. Now, the only English team left in the UEFA Cup is Bolton Wanderers. In Paris, France ended their participation in the UEFA Cup after Marseille lost to Zenit Saint Petersburg 0-2.

Chelsea destroys Derby

Chelsea mauled Derby County 6-1 at Stamford Bridge with Frank Lampard scoring four goals to ease the pressure from the critics. After a series of losses, this will definitely be a big boost to Avram Grant as the Chelsea manager. Lampard scored four fantastic goals against Derby, the Premier League's bottom club, with Salomon Kalou and Joe Cole getting their names on the scoresheet too.

Liverpool through to quarter-finals

Liverpool is through to the quarter-finalsof the UEFA Chamoions League after beating Inter Milan at the San Siro. Arsenal also won at the San Siro last week. For the first time in the Champions League , half of the eight quarter-finalists this year will be English cluba. Liverpool went to the San Siro to protect their 2-0 lead from the first leg in Liverpool and they did it in style. First, Inter had a defender sent off, like in the first leg, then they let Liverpool have a number of good chances. Then, in the 64th minute, Fernando Torres scored the only goal of the game which ended Inter's chances of of going through to the quarter-finals.

Real goes 8 points ahead again

Real Madrid went eight points ahead after Barcelona lost 0-2 to Villarreal in the Spanish League. Real look set to win their second league title again. In Italian soccer, Juventus secured third spot after winning against their opponents.

West Bromwich trashes Bristol Rovers

West Bromwich Albion 5-1 in the FA cup's quater-finals with one of West Bromwich's strikers grabbing a hat-trick. The League One side was 0-2 down early but scored a goal which gave them a slight glimmer of hope to claw back into the game. But in the second half ,they let in three goals and effectively lost the game to the Championship team

Giant-slayer Barnsley beats Chelsea

Giant-slayers Barnsley who beat a full-strength Liverpool team in the previous round beat Chelsea 1-0 at home in their FA cup quarter-final match. They scored the winning goal during injury time.

Man U goes out in FA cup quarter-final

Manchester United lost to Portsmouth 0-1 during their FA cup quater-final match at Old Trafford. Portsmouth scored through a penalty after Tomas Kuszczak brought down a Portsmouth player in the penalty box. After he was red-carded, Rio Fernandind donned the 'keepers gloves but failed to catch the resulting penalty. Michael Carrick missed a golden oppotunity to score in front of an open net. Manchester United also had a penalty appeal turned down after Cristiano Ronaldo was brought down in the penalty box.
